Homechoice: Troubleshooting

What's a generic way to get most apps working with HC?

Use SocksCap from NEC. It's available at

Configure it to do "DNS remotely" and put in the SOCKS server name of "" port 1080. Drag a couple of apps from your Start menu into SocksCap and run them from there. Then configure your applications as if they were on a completely clean Internet connection.

(If you run an app under SocksCap which is configured to use any proxies, then the proxy will try to connect to a proxy and you are likely to have problems.)
